As more talk about the potential return of a Mahathir-led government, this will go well for all who wish for a return of the elected government that came into fruition on 9 May 2018. Today, the Pakatan Harapan coalition faces many challenges including its collapse in Kedah. Some of their supporters on social media are saying that the PH government of KEDAH lead by Mukhriz Mahathir is worth saving. Based on Mukhriz Mahathir’s track record as MB of Kedah, the only thing worth anything is his continued sale of Kedah to China business interests. In the past 22 months, Kedah has seen the Mahathir clan trying to sign up as various business deals in Kedah as possible, including the planned airport in Kulim, the industrial parks and even durian plantations designed to displace indigenous inhabitants.   Many direct negotiation contracts were also dished out. It seems that for one certain party in Pakatan’s coalition, they are above recourse. Underperforming ministers? Blame the “deep state”. Election failures? Blame the coalition for not helping enough. Besides the famous Tuns, one of Tun’s muscle is Khairuddin Abu Hassan. As a Tun M’s staunch loyalist, he was the one who lodged police report against Najib before the 14 th General Election. In retaliation, the former UMNO Batu Kawan Vice Chief later was sacked from the post for being a bankrupt. Apparently, Khairuddin was declared bankrupt by the court in May 2014.
